AussiePadala remittance service to the Philippines launches in Australia

The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), a government-owned universal bank, recently launched an online remittance service called AussiePadala. It is the first online remittance service from Australia to the Philippines cleared by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and it will allow anybody with an account with any bank in Australia to remit funds online to anybody with a bank account in the Philippines.

As part of the introduction of the service, the DBP is waiving the A$10 service fee until the end of February 2017!

We encourage members of the Filipino community to take advantage of this opportunity to experience the convenience and security offered by a bank-operated remittance service. Part of the DBP’s mandate is “to ensure that overseas Filipinos have access to a safe, secure, convenient, and cost-effective channel to transfer their hard-earned money to their loved ones in the Philippines”.
